3-Day Yosemite and Lake Tahoe Small-Group Camping Adventure from San Francisco

Discover two of the West Coast's most spectacular natural wonders, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, on this three-day small-group adventure tour from San Francisco. You'll camp under the stars, hike around California's scenic national forests and spend time indulging in the great outdoors.

With a small-group of maximum 13 passengers, you'll be sure to make friends for years to come as your share convivial stories around the campfire. All transport is provided by minivan, so enjoy the transport from picturesque vista to the next in full comfort. Your tour leader will facilitate group dinners where you may bond with your fellow travelers and share laughs along this outdoor journey. See below for the full itinerary:

Day One
You'll leave San Francisco behind for a scenic drive to Lake Tahoe, Northern California's favorite summer and winter playground. There, you'll have the opportunity to swim in the lake, rent bikes, trek through the terrain or just enjoy the view from the shore. The afternoon is yours to spend at your leisure, so make the most of this majestic area, where California and Nevada meet. Retire to your campsite for memorable times around the campfire.

Day Two
The next day begins with breakfast and another beautiful drive to Yosemite National Park, where breathtaking views of El Capitan and Half Dome will greet you. You'll spend an adventurous day hiking any of the numerous trails, capture unforgettable photographs of the legendary sequoias or possibly spotting a family of deer or other wildlife! Breathe in the fresh mountain air as you spend another night in a campsite among the stars.

Day Three
After breakfast on the final day, bid Yosemite farewell and depart for San Francisco, stopping on the way for one last photo opportunity of Bridal Veil Falls. After your journey back to San Francisco, explore the city to your heart's content -- from riding a cable car and strolling through Fisherman's Wharf to shopping in Union Square and dining in Chinatown.

3-Day Yosemite and Lake Tahoe Small Group Camping Adventure From San Francisco

• There are 2 people to a tent and they are spacious A-Frame tents. Sleeping bags are provided.
• Dinners not provided, but the leader has cooking equipment and will either assist in doing a BBQ style meal in which a food kitty is collected or you may go to a restaurant.
• Many campgrounds provide showers but some have cold water available and some may require a payment (usually no more than USD$1-$3 for a quick shower). This is payable locally and is generally a contribution to paying for limited water supply. Please be aware that some campgrounds will not have any facilities however it would rarely be for more than one night at a time. It is true of many campsites within Yosemite National Park

• Young children are allowed, however the minimum age is 6 and there is a maximum of 2 children per adult traveler.
