Christchurch Tramway Restaurant Dinner Tour

Sit back in luxury on a 36-seater air-conditioned, colonial style dining tram and be treated to the finest service, cuisine and beverages New Zealand has to offer. See Cathedral Square, Botanical Gardens and the River Avon glide past your windows.

Please note: This tour will not be opeating until late 2012. Due to damage caused by the Christchurch earthquake, the infrastucture is currently being reviewed. A more definite opening date will be made available as further informtion comes to hand.

Dinner Package Options:

• Rolleston Dinner Package - includes four-couse meal (starter, entree, main and dessert) with welcome drink, tea and coffee
• Cathedral Dinner Package - includes five-course meal (starter, entre, main, dessert and cheeseboard) with all selected bevereges including quality New Zealand wines, beer, spirits, juice, tea and coffee

• Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability
• The tram can accommodate a maximum of 36 people. Smoking is strictly prohibited. There is a bathroom on board.
• Dress code is smart casual. Suit or similar dress is recommended
• Adult pricing applies to all travelers

Tidsplan:

• Freshly baked breads with roasted chick peas, Mexican veggie dip and a pumpkin cream

• Oven baked mussels baked with a garlic and Parmesan crust and drizzled with a chili and sesame dressing
• Chicken and apricot vol au vent with a creamy paprika sauce
• Roast tomato and capsicum soup topped with sour cream and crispy bacon (Dairy Free)

• Racks of lamb coated in a garlic and thyme crust, on gratin potatoes, vegetable ratatouille finished with sage jus
• Crispy filo parcel stuffed full of tasty mushrooms and herbs on a pool of white wine cream sauce, served with a timbale of spinach and rice
• Coq au Vin chicken drumsticks cooked in red wine, with a vanilla scented potato mash (Dairy Free / Gluten Free)
• Fish of the Day baked in white wine, chili and lemon, placed on a bed of egg noddles and a fresh tomato and basil salsa (Dairy Free)

• Cheesecake marbled with dark and white chocolate on a pool of vanilla pod creme anglaise
• Apple Tart sliced apples encased in a crisp puff pastry case with a sweet caramel sauce

• New Zealand cheeseboard -  a trio of hard, soft and veined fine New Zealand cheeses served with sesame crackers, dried fruits and nuts

• An extensive beverage selection including quality New Zealand wines, beer, spirits, juice, tea and coffee
