Puffing Billy Railway: A Ride Back In Time

Opened in 1900, the Puffing Billy Railway is one of the oldest narrow gauge lines in Australia. Outside the city of Melbourne and near the Yarra Valley wine region, the track runs 15 mi (25 km) through the Dandenong Ranges and out to Gembrook. Renowned for its charm and the great views it provides of the Australian landscape, Puffing Billy attracts tourists from all over Australia, and even overseas, to take a ride on the old fashioned steam train.
